Balancing work and home life is definitely a challenging aspect of everyone’s day. When to answer emails, when to take phone calls etc etc. Here at iCare Benefits, we have always tried to keep work life away from the our staff’s home. We have a rule where work emails, unless urgent and necessary, do not have to be replied to until the following day if received during out-of-office hours.
We aim to keep our staff engaged in the company by clearly separating their work days from their home and family time. In the Khmer context, this is very important for the local staff and we ensure everyone adheres by this rule. And given the high turnover experienced by private companies here in Cambodia, the more we can do to keep our staff here, the better.
